Though it began as a sightseeing trip to France, Vicki Mayhall's visit to Sainte-Mère-Eglise planted a seed that grew into a desire to honor historical people of her hometown, Metropolis, Illinois in Massac County. Vicki's experience in France was one of shared pride between the citizens of Sainte-Mère-Eglise and Metropolis, IL for one of our own, John Marvin Steele. The Heroes of Massac Endeavors was formed…and the rest is history.
